Your child will join our talented instructors in a professional kitchen as we explore and learn about types of foods, preparation methods, recipe math, kitchen skills, weights and measures, sanitation and safety, knife skills, baking basics, holidays and international cuisine and cultures, plus so much more!
Students don’t even realize they are learning. For them it’s just about having fun, making friends and eating great food! But when ingredients are measured they are learning math skills. When baking, they discover chemical reactions occur. And learning about the cuisine and culture of different regions of the world is a terrific geography lesson.
We provide a safe and engaging place for our students to learn and have fun. Whether it is to strengthen their academic skills or to explore their creative side, Chef Dad’s Table offers children a variety of extra-curricular classes and activities, both in-person and virtually online. Our classes are held in clean, Covid-19 safe classrooms and kitchen labs in Broomall, Delaware County. We currently enroll students in three age groups; ages 3 to 5, 6 to 10, and 11 to 16.
Classes meet every week, for two hours. The class fees are $40 each, plus there is a semester registration fee of $50. Private cooking classes are available and can be customized to a student’s needs and interests.
Best of all, children are encouraged to bring home samples and leftovers of their creations to share with the family!
